Tom Kincaid

SVP, Database Servers and Tools

Tom is the Senior Vice President of Database Servers and Tools at EnterpriseDB. He and his team work across the company to deliver to many of EDB’s open source efforts including Postgres, Barman and Trusted Postgres Architect (TPA). 

Tom is also responsible for the development and delivery of all EDB’s server products. In addition to the database server offerings, Tom is responsible for all database extensions, backup and recovery tools, HA tools for Postgres, connection poolers and application connectors.

He has been developing, deploying and supporting Database Systems and Enterprise Software for over 30 years. He was the GM of North America for 2ndQuadrant and was responsible for over two thirds of the company’s annual revenue, which grew significantly year over year. He rejoined EDB through its acquisition of 2ndQudrant.

Responsibilities in Tom’s past include the management and maintenance of hundreds of 24x7 database Postgres clusters. He has overseen the design and delivery of Postgres training solutions as well as the deployment of PostgreSQL at Fortune 500 financial institutions, telecommunications companies and at military facilities all over the world.
