P99 CONF

P99 CONF is All Things Performance, for developers who care about P99 percentiles and high-performance, low-latency applications. Our Senior Product Manager Simon Notley delivered a session at the virtual event: "Measuring Query Latency the Hard Way: An Adventure in Impractical Postgres Monitoring". 

Sampling the session state (as exposed by pg_stat_activity) is a surprisingly powerful way to understand how your Postgres instance spends its time. However, it's a terrible way to measure query latency, but pursuing terrible ideas is Simon's idea of fun. And it will be yours too, we highly recommend watching this session!
