EDB Postgres^® Extended Server

EDB Postgres Extended is built on open-source, community PostgreSQL while providing enterprise features not normally available through community extensions. It's fully compatible with PostgreSQL, so applications written and tested to work with PostgreSQL will behave the same with EDB Postgres Extended.

To help ensure security and compliance, EDB Postgres Extended supports Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), a feature normally only available in traditional commercial databases like Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server. TDE encrypts any user data stored in the database system, including data files, the write-ahead log (WAL), and even temporary files used during query processing and system operation.
